2009

In 2009 we planted another 110,000 trees on our remaining land. We also developed even more specialized equipment in order to handle the requirements of such a large project. The trees that were planted this year will sequester more than 100,000 tonnes of carbon in their lifetime; the equivalent of offsetting the annual emissions of upwards of 20,000 vehicles.

In addition to the planting of these trees, GCO partnered with the Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan to offset their emissions.
